Put one package of bacteria into 1 gallon of lukewarm water once a month, on or about the same day.  Let the water sit for approximately 6 to 8 hours.  This will help jump start the bacteria action.  In a good environment, the bacteria, once activated, will double in volume every 20 minutes.  You may also use the powder directly.  The results will be just as effective, however, it will take a
little longer to work.

When liquefying and applying, it is recommended that you put our micro bacteria product in the fixture(s) i.e., shower, tub or sink and not use the fixture for a while, so as not to flush it down the drain to the septic tank before it has a chance to work on the inside pipes. When putting dry powder in toilet, add product while flushing.  A good time to use the bacteria is at night, while at work or before you leave for vacation.  Best results will be  achieved if you use the micro bacteria on or near the same day of each month.  A letter, phone call or email reminder will be sent every month according to your preferences when you’re on our Truly Green Septic maintenance program.

Every month thereafter, rotate the deposit treatment area (bathroom) of 1/3 gallon of liquid bacteria mix or 1/3 of liquefied bacteria into a sink, tub, shower or toilet that runs into the septic tank system or 1 tablespoon down sinks, shower or tub and balance of product flush down toilet.  This will aid in keeping your sewer traps and sewer pipes clean on the inside of the piping system.  Then it will eventually end up in the septic tank where it will be put to use again aiding in the micro bacteria build up of septic juice.  If you have more than one septic system, or a separate dry well for laundry, we will make recommendations on how to treat the system(s), when we know the size of each.  The additional cost for added bacteria will be on an as needed basis. The cost may be added to your plan’s program.  Often we’ll recommend just taking a little away from regular treatment.

When we pump your septic tank, as per your plan (Plan II customers follow same procedures), we will check the pH of the water in the tank. Your house, or intake water, should be about 7.5 pH. Your septic tank septage water should never go under 5.5 pH or over 8.5 pH. This is very important for bacteria culture. If your pH is off, we will make recommendations as to what to do. It will probably be inexpensive and easy to do compared to the damage a non-bacteria active septic tank can do to your leach field, not to mention your wallet and clean floors.  Check out our comparison report and chart.

The amount of micro bacteria we have furnished you will last 1 year if used as directed. However, if more is needed, we will furnish it at an additional cost toward your plan program.  If its being added for something we did wrong it will be FREE (the additional microbes only).

Bacteria is not magic and not to be used as such. It does help in maintaining the necessary environment for a good working (fermenting) septic system. Be very careful of buying bacteria through the mail. If it’s true bacteria, it could be as dangerous as a short fuse on a stick of dynamite. That comment came from a biologist. It’s not knowing the type of bacteria and viruses in it that can be extremely dangerous. Our products are cultured (farmed) separately under laboratory conditions and each culture is farmed in its own preferred environment and mixed according to your needs. The micro bacteria (bugs) are basically the same bacteria (bugs) your digestive system cultures to break down what you eat. The bacteria your stomach uses is taken from the foods you eat, grown in your stomach and used to break down biodegradable foods.  Our bacteria are the same found in the first 1″ of the earth.
